"Hey, I'm Golden back with Expert Village and we are about to install this new screen mesh on my sliding door here so we can let the beautiful breeze of summer in when it warms up. Now we measured just a minute ago but I just want to remind you that when you do measure, measure the outside of the door from the width and the length. Don't measure through the inside because again, you want to give yourself a little bit of pad as far as the amount of screen because you are going to cut it later on and it is going to look beautiful but give yourself a little bit extra so you don't buy it and it doesn't fit. Now we've got our screen here and I had this cut for about 80 inches and it is about 36 inches wide so we've got plenty of length to make sure this thing happen. Now we are just going to lay this out here right on top of the door. See it pretty much fits and overlaps the entire door and that's good. That is what you want. At least a few inches on the top and bottom and a couple on each side. Okay and then our next tools that we need again is the roller that this is a must for this project and it is specific for the project so again, you've got to buy this. It is only a couple of bucks. It's not going to break the bank. Here's our screening spline that it is called. It is available at any hardware store and it comes in a couple of diameters. This is 1/25th of an inch diameter so it has been stuffed. That means that it goes in easily. So let's lay it out and see how it fits there. Okay you've got to have enough to go around the entire circumference of the door so it can hold it all in. So we are just going to start at one corner, right here and seep that in there. Okay now you have a groove if you want to come in there and look at this. All right we just saw the spline so we are just going to talk that this is a pickup of the last segment. There is a spline in the next segment and I will show you how to apply. Okay this is the spline I just told you about. When we come back I am going to show you how to put this in and get ready to re-install our doorway when it is done. "
