Removing a Sliding Door Screen

"Hey I'm Don Golden back with Expert Village working on this here screen door. Now we got the mesh off, we got the spleen off and I was down here kind of moving around and look here what happened. Oh hey, what happened? This isn't a problem. They just kind of sit here and seep themselves inside. This is the bracket, the corner bracket. Now if this pops out on you, it's not going to be a big problem. Just pop it back in, relax and continue on with the job. Okay now the next thing we are going to do is we want to measure and make sure that we are going to purchase the right size screen. I might have told you earlier that it comes in two standard widths; the 3 foot and 4 foot. So bingo, let's just measure and take all of the guess work out of it. This door is 36 inches so you are going to get the 36 inch width screen. Now the only other factor you've got to determine is what is the length? Standard length on most doors is going to be about 80 inches but let's measure anyway just to make sure. So we will bring our tape down here, hook it on the bottom and we've got 78 inches. Now just give yourself a little bit of pad when you do this. So I had one cut for about 80 inches because you are going to trim it anyway. It is made out of fiberglass, it is real easy to trim so give yourself a few inches on the width and the length and you will be safe, no problem.
