"Hello, this is Christopher Lyman with expertvillage.com and I am going to demonstrate how to wash windows now; we are outside, we are at our screen. The first thing you need to know about taking off a screen is that most modern screens you are going to find are spring loaded. This one if you push up there, the springs are at the top. Often you will find the springs on the side so you need to find out which side they are on. Once you find where the springs are, whether on the side or up top, I like to just use a little screw driver or any kind of putty knife will work, push up on the screen and pull out towards you with your knife. Get a quarter of it and push back on it and you can see the springs and it goes back in the same way. Since it is 20 degrees outside, again we are using this windshield de-icer, it works great. To clean your screen take your sponge, dip it in the water and scrub one side and scrub the other paying attention to those corners. A great way to knock all that water off is to tap it on the ground. Then take your towel and wipe the edges paying attention to the corners and stuff your sponge might have missed. Then you can set that screen aside, dip your sponge again. Now get the windows wet and at this point, I like to take and wipe the frame while the window is still wet so I don't have to come back and do it after I have cleaned it. It's the same time drying the edges of the glass. Now there are two ways to wash the window and I am going to demonstrate how to do that in the next video. This is Christopher with expertvillage.com.
