"Hi, my name is Adolph Ramirez from Tampa, Florida on behalf of Expert Village. This is how to install a ceiling fan. Okay some of the tools that you will need for this project is first one that you will need is a Phillips or flathead screwdriver. Those are essential. You also need a wire cutter something similar to this. You can also use a wire stripper or a razor blade but this is a lot safer. Something similar to this or one of these type that you can pick up pretty much anywhere at Radio Shack or those electronic stores. You also are not 100 percent required but it does help if you have a multimeter so that you can check for voltage. Just in case even though you are shutting it off at the service panel but you still may need something like this just to ensure that there is no voltage before you start removing any of your wires. You also can use something like this which is a lot cheaper than a multimeter and this does basically the same thing. It detects voltage on a wire and that is before you touch it because remember I cannot emphasize that much but safety is paramount when you are dealing with electricity. Okay I basically use the black electrical tape to tape the wire nuts onto the wire once you put the wire in there. That gives it a little bit of extra support. So that way in case you had like a frayed wire or something like that, so that way you won't create a short and the wire shouldn't fall off. So this is one thing that I like to use a lot, black electrical tape which is very, very cheap. Basically that is all we need as far as tools. Oh, you also need a ladder and the ladder of course will be whatever size is appropriate for your sitting height. Basically that is all you need. "
