How to Remove Cover from Mount for Ceiling Fan Installation

"Hi I'm Mark Sullivan for Expert Village. Today we are going to learn how to install a ceiling fan in your home. What I'm going to do next is I'm going to take the cover off of the actual mount which is going to go into the ceiling. You can leave 2 of these screws in because this cover has a slot inside of it so you can just pull this out. Then this is all set. hat we want to do now is we can slip this off, bracket off. Now this is the bracket that we are going to screw into the ceiling and then we are going to hand the ceiling fan onto that bracket like that. You see how there is a cut out on the side of the bracket right here so that will slip down onto the ball. There is also a small tab sticking out of here which would engage with this slot in here which would further prevent the ceiling fan from spinning around."
