"Hi I'm Mark Sullivan for Expert Village. Today we are going to learn how to install a ceiling fan in your home. What we are going to do first is just basically lay out all the parts to make sure that we have everything that we need. We would check these parts with against our book to see that we do have everything. So this appears to be our blades, our bag of screws, and chains, here is a gasket, we have a balancing weight in case it is out of balance. This is a piece of our housing for the post. Here is some more of our housing cover. This would be the support which we would mount onto the ceiling. Here are the blade holders that you would screw your ceiling fan on to this and then attach this into your ceiling fan. So we are just basically going through the parts. This is for your light kit. The lighting kit you would take out this plug and install your light kit underneath here so you have a chain pull for it also. Here is the post which the light would hang off of. You can get different lengths of these if your ceiling is really high; you can get these up to 3 feet long. Next you have the fan motor this is a pretty standard 110 volt. This is where you would hook the wires up to the ceiling. "
