"Hi I'm Mark Sullivan for Expert Village. Today we are going to learn how to install a ceiling fan in your home. What we are going to do now is get a Philip screwdriver and this is a Philip screwdriver. Also known as a cross point screwdriver. We are going to climb up our ladder and hopefully take down our light fixture. It looks like this one has been installed simply with some dry wall screws. This is really not the best application. So we have taken off these 2 dry wall screws which as appeared to be holding up the entire lighting fixture. So this is kind of a unconventional set up here. What we have is just basically two wires coming out of the ceiling. There is not a proper ground for this either. So what we are going to do is just take off these wire nuts, put that wire away and I'm going to put the wire nut back on. Did you get that? Okay and then I'm just going to take off the other wire nut, pull them apart and put that wire nut back on. Now we have successfully removed our old light fixture."
