"Hi, my name is Leslie Moselle and I'm from Tampa, Florida and on behalf of Expert Village, this is how to do laundry. The next load that you want to sort is your color clothes. Now with color clothes, you could do another sub category of color clothes but that is just me. I like to do dark color clothes and light color clothes. This is just taking an extra step like I said before to protect your clothing. Now with the dark and lights, usually I just separate them by blacks and grays and yellows, oranges and blues in the other section. So you can see here I've moved by white load over to the side and I've started my color load. I am just going to separate them between extra darks and just the rest of the colors. With this on the reasoning for separating your color clothes, you don't want those colors to bleed into your whites. This is really important to not just throw all of your clothes into one load. You don't want your black colored clothes to also darken your lighter colored clothes. This is really the reason why you want to separate them. The more more separating you do and the extra care you take, the better your clothes are going to look, the brighter your colors are going to look. so when you go ahead and separate them out, you want to go ahead and put them in just a special setting with this type of temperature water that you choose and that is the basic separation of colored clothes.
