"I'm Travis Steglich and we are planting acorns to grow Oak trees. What I've got here right now are Spanish Oaks and we are going to put just a whole bunch of them in the top of this pot so that we've only got one to water and I am pushing them down so that about half of the acorn is in the soil and the other half is basically exposed to surface. I am giving them enough room so that when they sprout, they will be able to grow into individual plants which we will be able to transplant out to another pot when they do in fact sprout. When we did the float test, none of these Spanish Oak floated but I am here to tell you that they will germinate. Just because they didn't do the float test, it doesn't mean they are bad seeds. We are going to find out because we are planting them. As I was saying having them all in one place and in one pot to be transplanted once they sprout, is a pretty good deal and is a very efficient use of your labor and your moisture and your pot. "
