on 8/2/2008 In the "wild" doesn't the apricot fall from the tree with the flesh on, and fare just fine on the top of the soil?

"When you harvest a fruit seed, the seed is generally in the middle of the fruit. And you cut the fruit open. I’m standing here under this apricot tree here, by the way. You cut the fruit open and you- ooh it’s nice and juicy. So right there is the seed. You take all the meat away from it and you take that seed out and you let it dry on a piece of paper, or in a bowl, and when it’s totally dry, you can plant it. It’s that easy. Here’s an apricot seed that came from this tree, cut open and dried. "
