" On behalf of Expert Village, my name is Craig Morrell. I'm with Landscape Restorations in Miami, Florida. We're here at Palm Hammock Orchid Estate and we're talking about planting, and fertilizing. The title of this clip is that gardening is a process. It's not a snapshot in time. I've chosen this desert garden because even though it's a desert garden of cacti and succulents, it's not going to remain static. It's not going to remain as you see it today. These echevarrias and ceadums will grow to the part where they'll be completely covering the ground. Even the sansevarias, this desert rose and this beautiful bromeliad—it's a neoregelia pendula hybrid—will begin to spill over the edge. So the garden changes over time. You need to plan for that. You should have planned for that before you put the plants in the ground, or left enough space for them to grow. Gardening is a process. It grows, you grow. You learn from it, and it learns from you. If you're not careful and both partners cooperate, both of you succeed. That's the idea; both of your succeed at the same time. "
