"Hi, I'm Stan De Freitas, Mr. Green thumb. Azaleas, well, they're members of the Rhododendron family, and that means that they're a good blooming plant for the spring, and sometimes early summer. This variety actually blooms a number of times during the year, so it's kind of an ever-blooming variety. By that, it's not going to bloom continuously throughout the season, but it does bloom longer than some of the earlier varieties that only had a short window of two or three weeks in the spring. Remember that Azaleas like an acid soil, so check your ph. They probably do best about 4.5 to about 5.5. They like it on the acid side. If you're in doubt, add some soil acidifier, add some peat moss, maybe some black cow, cow manure; really improve your soil. By doing that you'll have a healthier, happier plant. Almost all Azaleas tend to be root bound, so when you take it out of this container, gently pull those roots apart, and the plant has a better habit; it will start putting those roots out into your existing soil. If you do add some peat moss, and cow manure to the soil, which you should, gently incorporate that into the existing soil, and you'll have a better result.
