"Hi this is Jon on behalf of Expert Village in this video clip we would be laying out our permanent shelf. Going back to our drawing we have a permanent shelf that would complete our enclosure for our storage unit so we need to go ahead and measure for that piece. Now when we measure for our permanent shelf which is going to go in the exact center I'm actually going to measure right at the bottom because if for some reason these pieces are bold in our the are bold out measuring in the middle would give me a inaccurate reading so I'm again going to measure along the bottom or you can measure along the top. That should give you the same measurement. Our bottom measurement is 21 and 13/16 inches now that measurement probably sounds familiar cause that is the same measurement that we used when we placed our partitions in there. Here we have the back of our unit now again that back piece is set in a 1/4 of a inch so when we place that plywood on it it would fit on there nicely. My shelf depth is going to be the same as my partition sides so if I measure that again I get 9 3/4 inches. So my permanent shelf is 21 13/1 x 9 3/4 however I'm going to add a piece of trim on the front of it so this is actually going to be 9 inches. "
