"Hi! This is Jon Olson for Expert Village. In this video clip, we will be estimating materials. When estimating materials, you always want to write out a list of every single part that you are going to need to build this. So here I have 4 sides. We have our outside side and I included those in our sides. Here we have our top and bottom pieces. We have our center divider shelf right here. We have our 2 doors that we need to include and we have those 8 shelfs, 3 on each side and 1 in this top unit and 1 in the lower section. Now since our height is 31 and our width is 70 1/2 and our depth is 10 inches, I used those figures to figure out the exact size of each piece. I went ahead and drew this up on the computer just to show that I would need 1 full sheet and 1 half sheet of plywood. Now if you don't have a computer that you can draw this up on, you can also use a sheet of draft paper and have each square equal 1 inch. In addition, I am going to go ahead and purchase a long board to cover all the trim that I might need. "
