"Hi! My name is Jon on behalf of Expert Village. In this video clip, I will be talking about types of materials. The first type of material that I will be using is a 3/4 inch oak plywood. Now this is going to be used for my sides, the top, the bottom and all of the shelves. The second material that I will be using is a 1/4 inch oak plywood and that is going to be used for the back of my cabinet. I am also going to be using a solid oak board and this is going to be used for all of the trim work around my project so that you don't see that plywood edge. For my second set of bookshelves, I am going to be using a cabinetry grade birch plywood. Now this is a little less eye appealing. It is a little bit cheaper and since it is going to be painted, no one is going to see itl. I am choosing to use this product which is a little more expensive like a MDF or particle board because it will stand up and be a lot stronger for a longer period of time. "
