"Hi! My name is Shaun Appler and I am an investigator for the Wrightsville Beach Department and on behalf of Expert Village, I am here to talk to you today about how to deal with an aggressive driver. Like I said aggressive drivers annoy me probably as sure they annoy you. Keep something in mind. Don't bait them into anything. When they come right up on you, don't slow down, don't try to get them to run into you. Remember we are trying to avoid accidents. Aggressive drivers are doing it for whatever reason is in their mind. They are not thinking of you as a person. They are thinking of you as an obstacle. Remember I said that. So all of a sudden you create more of an obstacle for them, there is a good chance that is going to escalate a situation in possible road rage situation. Remember my original point, get out of their way. Don't slow down and pin them between 2 cars. You know if you are riding the same direction you are going to cause them to get more aggressive. If they go past you and they are being aggressive and swing past you and cut you off, don't get up and tailgate them. You are only adding to the problem and remember the main thing when you are on the road is safety. You don't want to cause an accident. You don't want to be at fault. You don't want to be in any accident they are going to cause. Stay out of the way. It's that simple. "
