"On behalf of Expert Village, my name is Seth Williams. I work for D-K Service and I am here to tell you about simple street bike brake repair and inspection. This is the rear brake caliper off of this street bike that we are working on. These here are spring retainers for your brake pads. These will make sure that they sit flush against these rods here at all times during operation of the motorcycle. These rods are connected to the brake caliper via these cotter pins here that we can take out now. These are all items that you will need to take out to get to your brake system and they are very small so make sure that you keep track of your little guys. Once those are out, push your pins through. Be careful of your brake springs which are these little guys here. You are going to need to put these back into your motorcycle when you are done. Once that is out, your brake pad should slide right out. After that is done, we will go ahead and remove it from the mounting plate itself and this is how you would service your brake caliper. "
