on 8/2/2008 Is this guy not a TOTAL moron? Has he never heard of a defroster? THIS is the easiest way to remove a frozen windshield wiper. You should NEVER push, pull or otherwise try to manipulate your wiper blades in any way if it isw frozen to the windshield as you will ruin the rubber and will end up having to replace the blades.

"Hi! My name is Nate McCullough on behalf of expertvillage.com. In this clip we are going to talk about the proper way to remove a windshield wiper blade that has been frozen to the windshield. First off the improper way to do it is to just grab a hold of the blade and yank it off. What will happen is this thin rubber area in here will tear away and it will leave the actual contacter, the knife edge of the blade portion attached still to the windshield. In order to avoid that, what you have to do is break the ice out away from it. You don't want to use your window scraper or anything like that. That may damage the hardware or some of the slides on the wiper blade. Pretty much the easiest way to go about it is take the palm of your hand, press flatly on the wiper blade until you feel it compressed and wiggle it back and forth, like so. Give that a couple of tries and that should break the wiper blade free from you. Give it a little tug if it is still stuck, repeat the process. If not, you are ready to go and wiper blade has been broken free. "
