"Then what you're looking for when your brake pad actually wears out, is some brake pads they make them with almost an alerter, it's almost like like a little scraper, a little tag that comes off, so whenever it reaches its lowest tolerance it's going to scrape against the caliper to let you know that it's about time to replace the pads. Then another way you can tell is if you look at the actual surface of the rotor itself, you can see markings where maybe the pad has gotten to close down to the metal part that's on the backing of the braking surface of the pad. So then before you want to take this apart, you're going to want to take the flathead screwdriver that I spoke about earlier, and pry against the actual, if you can get it in between the pad and the rotor, push the pad back, and it will ease the pressure off, and it will go back, and it makes it easier to take this caliper off. So, you want to make sure you don't bust a hole in the rubber boot which I will show you later on. That?s how you know when to change your brake pads."
