"NATHAN MCCULLOUGH: Hi, my name is Nate McCullough on behalf of Expert Village. In these clips, we're going to talk about the proper way to perform a five-wheel tire rotation. In this clip, I'm going to talk about the proper way to spin off your vehicle's lug nuts and remove the tire. All right, I'm going to take my four-way here and slip it on to the lug nut. The nice thing about using a four-way is you can give them spins, like so. You don't actually have to do every bit of the work. You can let the four-way help you out. That's your lug nut there. If you want, it's a good idea to take in place the lug nuts inside the hubcap. That way, you can avoid kicking them around or losing one of them as you're doing the service. All right, once you have the lug nuts removed, go ahead and grab a hold of the tire and give it a good stiff pop, and you see it's broke free there. It will slip the tire off the studs and set it down. From here, we're going to take our front tire and roll it back to the back of the passenger side of the vehicle. I'm going to go straight back. I'm going to lean it right here. Okay, we're going to spin the lug nuts off the rear of the vehicle using our four-way action here. You can see how we can spin it. All right, and it is the same story as the front of the car. Grab a hold of the tire, give it a good stiff pop, slide it off the studs, set the tire down. We're going to roll this one out of the way and install the vehicle's--what used to be the front tire on the back. I would like you to pay particular attention to the tread pattern on this tire. What you can see is what they call cupping or wheel chop. This tire has been on the front of the vehicle for an excessive amount of time. The pattern you see here on the edges is from the turning of the wheel as you steer. This could have been avoided or marginalized with proper tire rotations. We'll take and slide it up on the studs for the rear, spin our lug nuts back on. Okay, I'm just going to spin these on real quick, and we'll take the back to the front. You're going to repeat the procedure as far as installing the wheel and spinning down your lug nuts on the front as well."
