"Hi! I am Bob Osborne with Expert Village. After you finish washing the car thoroughly, it is time to dry it. The primary piece of equipment that I use in drying an automobile is a synthetic chamois. The original chamois were made out of cow skin and after just a few uses they became slimy and they did not really absorb much water. I went to synthetic materials quite a longtime ago and one in particular the absorber, which is available at almost all the auto supplies stores, comes in a plastic tube, it says absorber right on it. It is the best one out there, it holds a lot of water, lasts forever and it can be used for other things besides just drying the car. So when you are drying the car, go ahead and start drying the car in the sunny side of the car first, if it is in direct sun and then move around the car getting the sunny side done first, moving around to the side that is not exposed to the sun. Dry the car thoroughly before you go on. "
