" Hi! I am Bob Osborne with Expert Village. Right after the tires and the wheels, I always address the rocker panels and I always move around the car in one direction. I prefer to start on the right side of the car and then just move around in a counterclockwise position. It just sort of helps me do the same job every time so I am looking for consistency. On rocker panels sometimes there is tar, mud, grit that collects on the rocker panel which is the lower portion of the car. I spray a cleaner degreaser, let it dwell for a bit, use the bug sponge; again this one is dedicated just for this. I don’t use it on any other part of the car and I clean it thoroughly after I’m done with it and I replace it frequently also. Once it gets worn, it starts picking up grit and dirt moving it around. I always rinse immediately. This avoids spotting and if the soak and the suds dry in the direct sun, you just got to redo it again."
