"Hi, I'm Mark Sullivan for Expert Village and today we're going to teach you how to change the oil in a standard internal combustion automobile engine. Now with the aide of the oil filter wrench, band type we were successfully able to loosen the oil filter and you simply spin this off. And pull the old oil filter out. Make sure that you have your pan properly positioned to catch any additional oil which may drain out. So, we're going to check, we do have the same type, the 7317 type oil filter. Then we're going to set the old oil filter aside and I like to lubricate the o-ring and make sure that everything looks good; there's no metal filings in it. Then we will carefully without getting any dirt into the new oil filter. Well you know what? First I'm going to clean off the parting face here of any dirt. So that's where the o-ring will touch the metal and so we want to clean that off pretty good. Now we will position the new oil filter onto the crank case and turn it clockwise to thread it on. Okay, now it's spinning on freely. So we're going to continue screwing this on until we fill the o-ring contact the crank case and we're going to continue tightening this to approximately 40 pounds, 40 foot pounds of tork."
