"Hi, I'm Mark Sullivan for Expert Village and today we're going to teach you how to change the oil in a standard internal combustion automobile engine. So the next thing we're going to do is go under the vehicle and open the oil drain plug and we will let the oil drain out of the oil pan. One of the things I like to do before changing the oil is just take a standard red rag and tie it around your wrist so that you would protect your wrist and no oil will run past this red rag. So now we're ready to take our wrench and open the oil drain plug on the bottom of the motor. You should first have some newspaper under it. We've got a piece of cardboard here and then you have an oil drain pan in which to receive the old oil and dispose of it properly. Be sure there's no leaks, these are inexpensive. A standard 8 quart oil drain pan."
