"Hi, I'm Mark Sullivan for Expert Village and today we're going to teach you how to change the oil in a standard internal combustion automobile engine. Next, to remove the old oil filter, there is a tool which is called an oil filter wrench. Oil filter wrench. This can go onto the old oil filter and then you can remove it with less difficulty. So that's a band style oil filter wrench for removing your old oil filter. You will not use this tool for installing the new oil filter as it should only be installed as tight as you can get it by hand. You do not want to over tighten the oil filter when installing it. It should be installed as tight as you can get it. I would say approximately 35 pounds, 35 foot pounds of tork applied to the new oil filter when installing. "
