"Hi, I'm Mark Sullivan for Expert Village and today we're going to teach you how to change the oil in a standard internal combustion automobile engine. The next thing you would need to know is be careful, there are hot components on the motor. We have driven it. When you're preparing to change your oil, you do want to have the motor warm and at operating temperatures so that many particles of sludge and metals and containments of combustion are in the solution in the oil itself. So you want to have it warmed up so that all the sludge would be in the solution. So this is where you're going to put the oil in; this is a standard filler cap on the top of the valve cover. This is a standard dipstick; this is how you measure the oil level in your motor. It is in a small tube located on the side of the motor. That is the oil dipstick tube. "
