"Hi, I’m Dean Donnel for expertvillage.com. Now what we’re going to talk about is the dipstick. The first thing we need to do is find the dipstick. On this car it’s easy, it’s right up front. But on other cars you might have to look around for it, it could be in the front, the rear or at either side of the engine. Okay, I’m going to remove the dipstick, remember you want to be careful when you pull a dipstick out so you don’t damage it. If you do you’re going to get a false reading. Look at that, nice clean fresh oil, not black like when we started. Wipe the dipstick off with a rag, the reason why I’m doing this is I want to get a proper reading. Put it back in, okay it’s full we’re good, now I’m going to replace it. That’s how you check the oil with a dipstick."
