"Okay next we need to locate the dipstick. It sounds easier than it is sometimes. This car has quite a bit of area open to it so it makes it easier to find. Obviously you want to look at the engine and that is the part that holds the oil instead of the transmission which will also have a dipstick. Here's our engine and if you follow this dipstick down, the tube goes down into the oil filter directly under the engine. So that is what we are looking for. On these front wheel drive cars, you will have them on the side sometimes. Other times they can be located right in front, up in this general area but those are the two most common. We take this dipstick out. On this particular dipstick, they use holes as your markers for how much oil you want to fill. Obviously, the hole in the bottom is the low end and on the top, is going to be the high end. It is not good to have too much oil or too little oil. Anywhere in between these two holes is where the manufacturer recommends the oil level to be. "
