"Okay first we are going to jack up the front of the car. There is a certain reason for this. When you jack up the front of the car, you can put the jack stands in and usually still have room to get the jack in the back of the car and raise the back. If you start in the back of the car, a lot of times the front end goes to low to the ground and the jack will no longer slide under the car. So we always start with the front and we want to find a good jack point. If there is one in the middle of the car, it can be the engine cradle. A lot of the later model vehicles will actually have a jack point. It can be on that. Make sure you are not jacking up an area that is not strong enough to support the way the vehicle that is going to crush a brake line, transmission line or anything like that. "
