"Once we have the vehicle placed where we are going to change the oil, one thing I like to do is just as an added safety precaution is put a piece of tape over the ignition where your key goes in. Now you want to leave the tape in place until the job is completely done and the new oil has been put into the engine and you've checked the dipstick. It always happens, you start out on a job, phone rings, baby is crying, someone else walks in and doesn't realize you have the oil out of the engine, they go to start it and it could end up ruining your engine. So it is just good precaution to leave that tape on there until the job, you know all the new oil is in, level is at the correct spot and then you can take it off and start it up. "
