"In this clip we're going to talk about the proper way to remove and replace the EGR valve or exhaust gas recirculation valve on a 1997 Ford F-150. In this step we're going to talk about the proper service procedure for removing your EGR valves mounting bolts. As you can see, we have two mounting bolts, one here and one here. They are both ten millimeters and the reason why you want to use a deep well is because this is studded. You can see how it's got that extra screw sticking out for it. What that is, is the place where your brake booster vacuum line bracket mounts so you're going to use the deep well socket. Your atypical lefty lousy righty tighty kind of bolt, slip that on there and break them free. Once you got it finger tight you can go ahead and unscrew it and set it in your magnetic tray so you don't lose it. Alright, that is the mounting bolt there for your EGR valve and bracket and we'll take out this one here. Alright, I'm going to set my bolt in my tray. What I have here is the EGR valve and the mounting gasket. That is the proper way to remove the bolts for your EGR valve."
