How to Install a Brake Rotor on a Car

"Hi, my name is Nate McCullough on behalf of Expert Village. In these clips we're going to talk about the proper way to remove and replace a front wheel drive vehicle's Ball Joint. In this clip we're going to talk about the proper way to reinstall the vehicle's Brake Rotor and Caliper bridge after replacement of you Ball Joint. The rotor pretty much is a top hat style. It slips right on here, right on top. There you go. We have our caliper bridge which is this component here. We're going to take and mount that. It's got two mounting bolts. Good idea to start both of bolts before you tighten any of them down. It'll save you a little grief in the long run trying to align something if you already got it snugGed up. Take my half inch drive socket wrench with my 17 millimeter socket on it and run my bolts down. Refer to your vehicle's owner's manual or service manual for the proper torque specs on this. You're pretty much going to repeat the exact same thing for your upper mounting bolt. That's the proper way to install your rotor and caliper bridge."
