How to Remove Car Parts to Reach the Fuel Filter

"Hi, my name is Nathan McCullough, on behalf of Expert Village, in these following clips we're going to talk about removal and replacement of the vehicle's fuel filter. In this clip we're going to talk about removal of some components in order to gain access to the vehicle's fuel filter. It's going to very widely depending on make and model, I'm just going to go over a couple of the procedures and how to properly remove some of the engine accessories. This component right here is our cruise control actuator we have some small wiring running through here, our fuse box and our evaporative canister purge system. What we have to do is pretty much break the bolts loose. Just like so. Like I said, it will very widely if your fuel filter is located inline on the vehicle's body, somewhere pre under the hood and back, you're not going to have to do any of these steps. Like I said, depending upon your particular vehicle, you may or may not have to. I like to use a magnetic tray when I'm disassembling components just because it saves you from losing a bolt, dropping a bolt or spilling your stuff and having it scatter all over. Okay, as you can see this is our fuel filter right here and that's just about all the disassembling we have to do to get at our fuel filter."
