When you are filling a small chip, you need to use very fine body filler. There is lot of different kinds of body filler. This is the finest that we use. You don't need a lot of it but you need to have enough on your pallet here so you can mix it. This is a hardener. Body filler is a 2 step process, the filler it self is made of tact and polyester and catalyst gets it excited and gets it set up for you. You want to mix it very thoroughly you can see now that it has all these strips in it. If you use filler like that, then it sets up awkwardly and you don't want to use too much hardener. A little bit is good and more is worst. So now we are ready to fill our chip.
