"DOUG JENKINS: Hi. I'm Doug. I work with 20 great guys in St. Louis at Doug Jenkins Custom Hot Rods and we're going to do some work for you today on Expert Village. It's important to support the rear end. The shock absorber is what keeps the rear end in this car. It limits the travel. If [PH] Mark were to pull the shock off without supporting the rear end, he would never be able to get the shock back on until he's supported it back up there and it's dangerous to do it that way. So, the shock limits the downward travel of the car. So, Mark got the two easy bolts at the top off that were 1/2-inch sockets. Now, he's got an impact gun and going for that lower bolt. It's usually a little bit more work to get off. A little bit of hammering there. Everything on old cars gets rusted in pretty good so be careful but be comfortable using a hammer to get things loose."
