"Hi! I'm Doug. I work with twenty great guys in St. Louis at Doug Jenkins Custom Hot Rods and we're going to do some work for you today on Expert Village. Now Andy is going to mix the black base coat that goes on the brake calipers. It's a two stage candy; you put the black on there first then you put the lilac pearl metallic over it. And this is mixed per a formula. It's a certain percentage of the black base coat, a certain percentage of reducer so you get the right consistency to get it out of the paint gun. You choose the reducer based on the speed of evaporation; we chose an extra slow on this one, we want a nice good looking surface. That's pretty much most of what we use around here is slow or extra slow. He'll get the right look and the right consistency that way. There's marks both on the stick he's using and on the plastic container to tell you how much, you know, if you're going to go up to here with your base coat you go up to there with your reducer and you get the right ratios that way."
