The automobile — a vehicle that means so much to so many — is a complex system of machines built on the designs and ideas of men and women who are long gone from this world, but whose names live on: Ford, Chevrolet, and Bugatti. And while we’ve enjoyed traveling the backroads of childhood, the streets of adolescence, and the highways of adulthood, the car has remained a reliable means of transportation, as well as an icon that embodies the hopes and dreams of reaching exciting new destinations at top speed, in style, and with speakers blaring. Perhaps we will have flying cars one day; for now, we have the access to reach across the continent, and the freedom to choose which corner to explore first.

Expert mechanic Jake Breyck shows you step-by-step instructions, from removing the old stock air intake, to troubleshooting your newly installed custom intake, with safety tips and advice along the way. If you’re looking to save a little money and learn something new about your car, we offer this free online video course. "Hi! I'm Jake Breyck and today on behalf of Expert Village, I am going to show you how to install a custom car intake. First off as a safety precaution, you are going to want to make sure that you are parked on a nice level flat surface and engage the parking brake so that the car roll around on you while you are surfacing it. Then you are going to want to find a hood release button, pop the hood, find the battery and disconnect the negative battery terminal. If you have been driving around all day and the engine is hot, you want to make sure that you wait about two hours to let the engine cool down. "
