How to Prepare a Butt Joint for a MIG Welder

So we have two pieces all we are going to create is a longer piece of steel so this could be to create a area or to repair a section of a vehicle or a chest or something we need to join this together. If we just lay them like that and weld we wouldn't get a very good not a very strong join on the steel. So we are going to V this with the angle grinder before we try to weld them together. Lets show you. First you clamp the steel down before you use the welder. You would use a simple friction clamp for this job. Then we use our angle grinder. Don't forget the safety. Already.
