"In this clip, we're going to talk about the proper service procedure for removing and replacing a front strut on a front-wheel drive vehicle. In this step, we're going to talk about the proper service procedure for breaking your vehicle's lug nuts loose. Now you're going to want to do this before you jack the vehicle up in the air. What you have going on is the weight of vehicle is going to hold the tires still against the ground for you so you can apply enough leverage to the lug nuts in order to break them free. There's no particular pattern when breaking loose lug nuts. You just go right around in a circle, you're not going to want to loosen them up a whole bunch. Just break them free until they're free spinning approximately one to two turns. If you loosen them up too much, the wheel may cock on you and possibly damage the soft aluminum the rim is made of, or the threads on the studs themselves. Alright, and there you go. That is the proper service procedure for breaking loose your vehicle's lug nuts."
