"I'm Mark Blocker for Expert Village. In this segment, we are going to cover starting the vehicle. After you have connected the cables and have charged for approximately 5 or 10 minutes, it comes time to start the vehicle. When you get in you want to make sure that everything is turned off, get in your comfortable seat position, parking brake is set, car is in park or neutral gear before attempting to start the vehicle. Also make sure that anybody outside that was assisting you to jump start, is cleared away from the front of the vehicle. Thus if anything happens and the vehicle moves, you don't have a chance of them getting injured between the 2 vehicles being jumped and also a safe distance away from the battery in case of electrical problem or explosion. Watch the next segment on disconnecting the vehicle. "
