"In this step we are going to demonstrate the proper service procedure for uncompressing our coil spring compressor. Here is my socket wrench and we are going to go ahead and uncompress the coil spring. Now you are going to uncompress it pretty much the same way as you compressed it. Go from side to side in an even manner. Now hop on over to the other side now. And again we are going to hop back over to this side. You are going to want to decompress them as evenly as possible so your spring will take and seat evenly on to its keepers. If you were to take and just loosen one side that spring is going to want to cock on you to the squeezed side and it will throw off the alignment from the cup spring and your baring plate. Get that compressor off and we will go ahead and finish loosening up this one. I will pull the release pins from there and there and go ahead and slip the compressor out of its location. You want to go ahead and take one last check to make sure that your spring is in the bottom of the seat here and that it is in the upper location, let me find the end of it there, as you can see the end of this tab and the spring are supposed to line up. That is the proper procedure for decompressing your spring and assuring your proper strut assembly."
