"In this step we're going to demonstrate the proper service procedure for reassembling your strut and compressing and installing your new coil spring. Now I have my compressors already set up on the replacement coil spring. As you can see they are opposed from each other one hundred and eighty degrees apart, that's exactly they you want to set this up. We have our flat coil, you can see this coil sits flat. This coil is going to go right down here in this corner, all struts will have a little spot that that coil will scoot into. And you see that little stopper spot down in there? That's right where that bottom coils going to go. Going to go ahead and slip it on there, just like so. You got to make sure that this rubber is on here, if not your strut seat will squeak on the spring as you go over bumps causing an irritating noise. So if it's not there, head down to your local parts store and pick one up. From here what we're going to do is take begin compressing our strut, now it's kind of a slow procedure. You're going to want to compress it evenly from side to side, for about ten turns here and about ten turns here. And work that spring all the way down until you can install your upper strut mount and bearing plate, that's this assembly here. Now go ahead and begin compressing it, like I said it may take some time, but it's better to do this slowly than too fast. Alright, once you have your spring compressed a significant amount; you can take and slip on your upper strut mount, and pop the stud through. From there you're going to go ahead and drop on your washer, and start the top nut. Alright, go ahead and use my ratchet, and my wrench to go ahead and tighten that top nut down. Right there. Okay as you can see we're lined up here, and lined up in the same manner up top. And we have our bearing plate on and are not tight. That is the proper service procedure to compress your coil spring and reassemble the strut."
