"In this clip we going to demonstrate the proper service procedure for unbolting the lower portion of our strut pinch bolt, and removing the break hose mounting hardware. Now we've got a ten millimeter socket on my quarter inch ratchet, we're going to take and undo the bolt, holding the break hose to the strut. Alright, and there's our bolt there. As you can see our brake hose is now loose from the strut assembly, go ahead and set the bolt in our magnetic tray. And go ahead and slide off the mount for our anti-lock wheel speed sensor as well. And just like so we're going to set that guy in the tray for later reassembly. We're going to attempt to break loose this very large lower strut bolt. This particular vehicle it is a twenty-one millimeter or a thirteen sixteenth, either one will work. And there we go, that is the one mounting bolt for the lower portion of our strut. It uses a pinch bolt style, the strut tube actually slides into this spindle and is pinched together by this bolt. I'm going to go ahead and set that in the tray. That is the proper service procedure for stripping your anti-lock and your break hose from the spindle and un-bolting the strut from the spindle itself."
