It isn't easy to paint your own car, as anyone who has tried can tell you. Whether you go to Wal-Mart for krylon spray-paint or you buy a spray gun, primer, paint, and clear coat, painting a car is a labor-intensive and time-intensive process. Obviously spray-painting a car is an expedient method of repainting your car, but the finished product is most likely not what you're looking for. Though sanding, and using primer, paint, and clear coat is much more time-intensive, the finished product is worth the work and it is easier to learn to do than you might think. If you would like to learn how to paint a car, learn by starting small - like painting a scratched bumper. Usually the bumper is the first part of the car that is need of some touch up work.

on 8/2/2008 Hi guys, Really keen to see this series of videos as I am thinking of upgrading my bodykit on my vehicle. I have always been fasinated with the art of automotive spraying and various different methods, paints, and paint mixing etc but all I am getting at the moment is a black screen. Hope it gets sorted soon!!!!!!!!!

"How are you doing? This is Marcell Porter from Expert Village and today we are going to show you how to paint a car. Here we have a 2002 Buick Century bumper, this bumper needs to be primed, sanded and painted before we put it on the car. So what we want to do first is line the bumper up, hang it from the ceiling and then once we prime it everything would come out nice and even. Here what I have done I put a guide over the top of the primer so once I sand the primer the guide will let you know where to stop sanding so you won't go to far. Cause if you go to far you done to much and you have to do it all over again. "
