"Hi! My name is Nate McCullough on behalf of expertvillage.com. In this clip we are going to talk about one style of bell tensioner. The style we are going to discuss is the jacking screw style. This bolt located right here in, indicating with my screw driver is call Ed a jacking screw. How this operates is the screw tightens runs in or loosens and applies pressure to this block. When it applies pressure, that causes the pump or whichever device it happens to be located on to rotate. It will rotate either clockwise or counter clockwise and applies tension to the belt. How these operate is going to be 2 or 3 bolts then you loosen. One of the bolts is indicated right here. This is the threaded portion of the end of the bolt. The head of it is going to be located right on the other side. There is one more bolt that is located up here. This bolt will also need to be loosened. Once you break these bolts loose, the jacking screw can be operated to apply tension to the belt. If you are tightening it, it will need the tension removed if you are removing the belt. "
