"Hi! I'm Doug. I work with twenty great guys in St. Louis at Doug Jenkins Custom Hot Rods and we're going to do some work for you today on Expert Village. Now the muffler is correctly mounted. We need to run exhaust pipes to get to the muffler. Here are the two inlets into the muffler. Up front we have two outlets where the exhaust leaves the engine. This is a performance engine installation. Instead of using original cast iron exhaust manifolds, we installed more efficient steel exhaust headers. The exhaust headers are more efficient, they allow the exhaust to get away from the motor with less energy required of the engine in order to help boost performance. This customer, though, is motivated more by his interest to get the car on the road as inexpensively as possible. He spent the money on the motor years ago when he first started the restoration on his own. So, we're using the original lower performance muffler but the after market exhaust headers."
