"Hi! This is Rob with Expert Village. I hope you enjoyed your lesson on how to drive a manual transmission. Just a quick overview: two key parts to driving a clutch is the speed which you pull the clutch up and how much pressure you put on the gas pedal. Remember there is no reason to jerk your foot. Everything is nice and smooth. When you are first starting and you are learning, you leave your emergency brake on, just a little bit of pressure to feel where it is coming in and also practice applying the gas slowly. There is no reason to deploy. Just put it on nice and slow and that is the key thing and also what is very important is never watch your feet. You don’t need to watch your feet, don’t need to watch your hands shifting, keep your hands on the wheel and, your eyes forward and practice those things first. Keep your foot on the clutch; feel it coming in, keep your face pointed forward, a little clutch, a little gas, a little light and you can feel it going. Okay. You have yourself a great day and good luck and don’t get discouraged. It doesn’t take much time. "
