"Hello, this is John Michaels and today we're going to talk about buying a new car. In this segment, we're gonna talk about warranties. Warranties on a new car can be anywhere from three years to thirty-six thousand miles bumper-to-bumper, all the way to one hundred thousand miles. There are also power train warranties available from the manufacturer. Be sure you ask about what warranty comes with your car from the manufacturer before you look into purchasing any extended service contract or warranty contract from the dealership. Each new car will come with its own separate warranty. There are different kinds of warranties. There's the power train warranty that covers the mechanical parts of the car which are the engine and transmission, moving parts, so to speak, that's the power train. Then there's also the bumper-to-bumper warranties that cover small things like lights and things of that nature. Remember, tires, windshield wiper blades, batteries, all come with their separate warranty from their manufacturer. Those will be included in your warranty from the manufacturer of the automobile maker. Those we call spoilables, so those won't be covered under any warranty from the manufacturer of the car unless specified so."
