"Hi my name is Nat McCullough on behalf of expertvillage.com. In this clip we are going to talk about the proper way to remove the upper strut mount retaining nuts. Okay this particular vehicle happens to have a 14 millimeter nut on the top. It is going to take and break them loose. There is your typical lefty loosey righty tighty style nuts. They are not a locking style so one you got them loose you are going to run them off with your fingers. Okay our strut mount on this particular vehicle has rusted entirely in half. As you could see there is nothing in here. On your vehicle it may or may not be that case so what you are going to want to do is support the lower part of the strut so it doesn't just fall out of the car once you have the mounting nut undone.
