" Hi my name is Nate McCullough on behalf of expertvillage.com. In this clip we are going to talk about how to determine if your valve cover basket is leaking. What we have done, and it is a good idea since oil will never go away unless you wash it off, we have taken and washed the engine just at the local car wash and driven it. Once you have driven it, we put about a 100 miles on it. You could see the evidence to where the valve cover is leaking. We have fresh oil coming out right here between the valve cover and the cylinder head."

on 4/2/2009 I thought this was not the head gasket. Maybe if we do a search of valve cover gasket repair, we'll see the head gasket video?

on 8/2/2008 Just because the gasket sits on top of the head, does not mean it's the head gasket. It's a valve cover gasket. These videos are incorrectly labeled, and a horrible waste of time.

on 8/2/2008 This series is incorrectly titled "How to Replace a Head Gasket." This repair is a valve cover gasket; the head gasket is a bit more involved.
